I finally managed to add new prints to myEtsy shop. Hares, wild boar and bears in all sorts of sizes, ready to find new homes. Harold the hare playing the violin is there too!
The spring has come and some weird creatures are appearing in my sketchbook. I have no idea who they are and where they come from but they look like they just woke up from the winter hibernation. I love the fact that sometimes I have no control on what is going on in my sketchbooks - these creatures just pop up out of nowhere!
A little glimpse of my mobile studio - will post some more photos soon.
I am considering going to the airport one day to do some sketching at the arrivals gate. I would need a huge box of tissues though - watching people greeting each other is too moving.
Meet the rat. He is a nice guy and he doesn't have a name yet! Any suggestions?
He is not a sort of rat that would spend all day on a sofa watching tv!
He get excited about things. The smell of potted Stilton mostly.
Not all the things though...
...but generally he is a joyful and positive creature!
Yes, I am still enjoying quick and rough sketches.
A quick and fun sketch for Monday morning. Another in the series of drawings made for a pure pleasure of doing something completely different than usual. Very relaxing again. Especially the quick and broad stokes of brush in photoshop without paying any attention to detail.
And yes, it actually did happen to me last time when I had too many dumplings.
I spent most of the last week drawing and painting very excited rats so this sketch was a little calming down session. I can sit for ages drawing little houses and trees with a very very fine pencil. It's like meditation.
