cautionary tale
A quick and fun sketch for Monday morning. Another in the series of drawings made for a pure pleasure of doing something completely different than usual. Very relaxing again. Especially the quick and broad stokes of brush in photoshop without paying any attention to detail.
And yes, it actually did happen to me last time when I had too many dumplings.

krk
During this short trip I was experimenting with new style of sketching and with drawing as many people as possible. If you know me or you read this blog you know that drawing people is not what I do very often . From time to time I set short briefs for myself literally forcing myself to draw some portraits instead of animals, trees, landscapes or architecture. Or to draw in a completely different style to what I am used to. Just to learn something new.
As I don't feel particularly comfortable with the results I distorted the sketches in photoshop before posting them here. I didn't even bother with rotating some of them. Everything to make them less clear for you:)

charleston and new pictures in my shop
There are some new prints in my Etsy shop and more is coming soon. I'll keep you posted.
I really enjoyed working on these guys. I put some 30s music on and they just started dancing. I love when my characters do that. It's like they do half of the job and all I need to worry about is the colouring.

if: suspense
I haven't done Illustration Friday for a while so here is a quick sketch with rats who definately are up to something. I suspect it has something to do with the food.

studio
I've not been posting any photos for a while (I've not been taking any either relying mostly on my sketchbook as a documenting tool - fun but time consuming). So here are some pictures of my studio space.
